Strategy

How to prepare

  • 1Prelims is a speed test with sectional 20-minute timing — practise section-wise mocks under time pressure.
  • 2Mains rewards depth: high-level DI, puzzles and Banking/Economy awareness carry the most weight (120 of 200 objective marks).
  • 3Build a daily Banking & Financial Awareness habit — RBI policy, budget, schemes and appointments recur every year.
  • 4For the Descriptive paper, practise typing emails and essays within the 30-minute window; structure and clarity matter more than length.
  • 5There is 1/4 negative marking in both Prelims and Mains — attempt only when reasonably confident.

Answers

Frequently asked questions
