About IBPS PO
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released notification CRP PO/MT-XVI for the Common Recruitment Process to select Probationary Officers / Management Trainees across 11 participating public sector banks. The online registration window is open from 1 July 2026 to 21 July 2026, and the post is open to graduates from any discipline. IBPS PO is one of the largest and most sought-after banking recruitments in India, with a single common exam feeding officer posts at multiple nationalised banks.
Selection is a two-tier online examination — a Preliminary Exam (objective, 100 marks) and a Main Exam (objective 200 marks + a descriptive paper of 25 marks) — followed by a Personality Test and a Common Interview conducted by the participating banks. Candidates who clear all stages are provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks on a merit-cum-preference basis.
The notification lists 6,715 indicative vacancies for 2027-28 (UR 2719, OBC 1816, SC 1009, EWS 669, ST 502); the actual number will depend on the banks' requirements. With a starting scale of ₹48,480–85,920 plus allowances and an all-India banking career, IBPS PO 2026 is a landmark opportunity. MockSutra provides free full-length mocks, previous-year papers and section-wise practice in Hindi and English for every stage.
